My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were spacious and had a great patio with chairs overlooking the Douro River, although our room wasn't ready upon arrival—a bit of a downer after a long journey, but we understood. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, making our experience exceptional. The location was extraordinary, with our balcony providing breathtaking views of the Douro. The dining experience was good, though a bit chaotic at times. Overall, a great place to stay in the Douro Valley.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Pinhao. The room provided stunning views of the river, the bridge, and the vineyard-covered hills from the spacious suite with French doors and a balcony. The only downside was the distance from the reception and facilities at the back of the hotel.

The room had a great view of the river bend, the bridge, and the hills with vineyards. The suite was spacious with two French doors and a balcony for enjoying the scenery.

I found the hotel to be a beautiful stay, with amazing rooms that were well-decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. However, the pricing for having teenagers classified as adults could be more family-friendly, making it easier to book interconnected rooms for families.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were beautiful, well-decorated, and featured a large bathroom with a Roman style sunken bath.
Service
7.0
The service was a bit hit-and-miss. While they were very keen on bringing a heater and helpful in recommending local places to eat, they completely disregarded a missed provision of a bottle and were not consistently pleasant or efficient.
Location
10.0
The location was superb, especially with the balcony view overlooking the Douro River. The hotel's setting right on the river was fantastic and offered a wonderful view.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was wonderful overall, though it took a little exploration to discover all the options. Once I found that I could order an omelette and located the cava, the experience became even better.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel has new furnishings and great views over the river. However, I would prefer to see an eco-friendly approach by offering bulk shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap instead of single-use plastics and bar soaps.

The hotel offers a charming location overlooking the river and hills covered in grape vines, making it a delightful stay. Despite some noise disturbances and average surroundings, it provides a safe and cozy spot with good local dining options. The service, while generally excellent, falls short on responsiveness in some areas. Dining by the Douro with exquisite pastries and traditional dishes is a highlight, although improvements can be made in some aspects.

Staying at the hotel was a dream come true! The rooms were large and had an excellent view of the Douro River, incredibly lovely with exceptional linens and pillows. The Presidential Suite was absolutely amazing, with an outdoor terrace offering a million-dollar vista of the Duoro river, boats, and hills of vineyards. However, some service aspects left something to be desired.
